Chill Out Already!

We all need something that can help us relax and unwind. That's where the Viparita Karani or "Legs Up The Wall" pose comes in. “VK” is our favorite ❤️ inversion pose because it's simple and effective. We feel a sense of well-being, and renewal after completing this asana.

To practice this pose, we invert our legs up against a wall while the rest of our body lies flat on the mat. This gentle inversion helps to calm the mind, promote relaxation, and improve circulation.

It's no wonder that #viparitakarani is a favorite among yoga practitioners.

To get the most out of this pose, it's important to align your body correctly. If you're new to this asana, it's best to do it with the guidance of a yoga teacher. Once you've got the hang of it, you can try adding variations by bending your knees and bringing your feet together.

This will provide an even deeper stretch and relaxation.

Usually, we hold this pose for around 3 mins or so. Many yoga classes end with this pose as it helps to wind down the body and promote a sense of calm. With your legs elevated, gravity starts to work its magic, promoting a soothing, nourished feeling throughout your body. We usually burn incense when doing yoga, it adds another level to your space.

We love the scent of frankincense, and palo santo that it brings to our home. Check these out.

Aside from its relaxation benefits, Viparita Karani is also said to improve circulation and reduce swelling. So why dont you give it a try!
